New South Wales, Australia ( July 11, 2011) FeedXL.com, the innovative, effective tool for creating a horse’s balanced diet, celebrates the launch of its fresh and friendly website by extending a 20% discount off its services for the summer.

The website – www.feedxl.com — is a user-friendly, unbiased, science based tool, based for horse owners, trainers and breeders, veterinarians and nutritionists to use in formulating balanced and cost effective equine diets. Essentially a nutrition calculator, the website computes how much of certain nutrients a horse needs and determines if the feeding program meets those needs.

“Feed XL does all the smart stuff. It combines the science and math that a doctor of equine nutrition has to learn into a super easy and fun program,” says Dr Nerida Richards, a passionate scientist, keen horsewoman and co-owner of the FeedXL.com website.

“Every horse is unique and every horse needs a diet designed specifically for its nutritional requirements. When people register on FeedXL.com, we ask for specific details about their horses that the website uses to calculate the nutritional requirements.”

After the horse owner inputs information about the horse and the ingredients of the diet, the FeedXL.com program “will do some serious math to calculate the horse’s requirements. Then the program turns that analysis into several easy-to-read displays and graphs that highlight the excesses and deficiencies of the diet,” explains Dr. Richards.

The FeedXL.com database holds over 7,000 feeds including grains, mixed and prepared feeds, supplements, forges and pastures.  Since FeedXL is not in business with a feed or supplement company, the website provides information on all equine nutrition products. “If we don’t have the information listed on a product, let us know and we’ll add it.”

FeedXL.com offers members unbiased nutrition education through monthly newsletters, members’ forum and extensive online assistance.

FeedXl.com designs optimum feeding profiles for horses of all breeds, in all disciplines and in all stages of life, from active competitors to pleasure horses, from lactating mares and foals to weanlings and yearlings.
