Lexington, KY- The United States Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce an exciting new hunter program, the USHJA Pre-Green Challenge. Designed to showcase Pre-Green Hunters as they develop through the early stages of their careers, the program is open to horses of any age in their first or second year of competing over fences set at 3’0″ or 3’3″.

 

Debuting on December 1, 2014, for the 2015 competition year, the Pre-Green Challenge offers both zone and national recognition for owners, trainers and riders. A USHJA Pre-Green Challenge may be offered at USEF Licensed Premier (AA), National (A), Regional I (B) and Regional II (C) rated competitions or competitions that have been approved for a Special Competition status. Minimum prize money offered will range from $250 to $750, respective of an event’s USEF rating.

 

In addition to USHJA year-end series awards for horses and riders, horses will earn Pre-Green Zone HOTY bonus points based on their placing in the class and the competition format.
