Max Kuhner Withdraws

Germany's Max Kuhner, who would have been competing in his first Rolex FEI World Cup Final, has had to withdraw Acantus K from the competition. A German Federation official said that Acantus K was injured while traveling to the Las Vegas, Nev., for the Final.

Germany’s Max Kuhner, who would have been competing in his first Rolex FEI World Cup Final, has had to withdraw Acantus K from the competition. A German Federation official said that Acantus K was injured while traveling to the Las Vegas, Nev., for the Final.

“Max came to these Finals full of hope,” said German Federation press official Uta Helkenberg. “But everyone decided it was too risky to let Acantus K compete, even though his injury does not appear to be severe. The horse is very fit and in super form, but Max wants to keep him fresh so that he can compete in other competitions later in the season.”
