BURBANK, CA – In the sport of dressage, competitors pursue perfection and regard each competition with the highest intensity.  Now, once they exit the arena, California exhibitors have the opportunity to kick back and enjoy themselves between rides.
 
With the generous support of sponsor Lisa Seger Equine Insurance Agency, a new hospitality area called “The Retreat” was premiered during the Mid-Winter Dressage Fair CDI*/Y/J held February 24 – 27 in Burbank, CA.  During the show, this inviting lounge area quickly became a big hit with competitors.
 
“The hospitality is wonderful!” said Grand Prix rider Kathleen Raine from Murrieta, CA.  “Checking scores while having hot coffee, snacks, and heaters on this chilly weekend is so nice.  Everybody mingles and it really adds to the camaraderie.”
 
Sponsor Lisa Seger has years of experience hosting hospitality for competitors and owners during the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, which prompted the idea to offer these amenities at dressage shows.  “After many years of traveling around the country, we saw a need to provide a place at shows for riders, owners, and grooms to relax and enjoy themselves,” noted Seger.  “We have complimentary refreshments available, and riders can check their scores, socialize, and use free Wi-Fi.  We’re having a wonderful time, and would like to invite everyone to come join us!”
