Rolex Kentucky CCI**** entry Jordan Linstedt did not start the event with her Tullibard’s Hawkwind. “Jack” sustained a minor injury while competing in the advanced division at the Twin Rivers Spring Three Day Event and Horse Trials (Calif.) on April 10-14.

Jack hit his left stifle while jumping a log, and Linstedt immediately retired him from the course. He is currently at the Circle Oak Equine Center (Calif.), but Linstedt expects a full recovery for the 15-year-old Irish Sport Horse (Cruising—Artic Anna, Arctic Que). She said she plans to bring him back into work later this year.

Although she’s no longer competing, Linstedt, 25, still traveled to Lexington to watch the event.

“Last year I was so nervous the whole time,” said Linstedt, of Redmond, Wash. “I think it will be great to go walk the course and not be nervous to compete.”

In 2012, Jack and Linstedt finished 27th at Rolex, their first four-star event. She said she hopes to return as a competitor with Jack next year.
