Less Than One Week Until the Wellington Turf Tour Kicks Off at Wolfstone Stables

In six days, riders, owners, trainers and grooms will be able to enjoy unparalleled hospitality, top tier competition and the epitome of show tradition. The Wellington Turf Tour returns to Wellington with 12 weeks of shows featuring 1.30m-1.35m Jumpers, the 1.40m Grand Prix Series and Young Jumper, Children/Adult, Low Junior/Amateur and Masters Jumpers Classics. The series runs from 8 am - 4 pm, accommodating everyone's show schedules.

Wellington, FL – December 30, 2014 – The Wellington Turf Tour is less than a week away! In six days, riders, owners, trainers and grooms will be able to enjoy unparalleled hospitality, top tier competition and the epitome of show tradition. The Wellington Turf Tour returns to Wellington with 12 weeks of shows featuring 1.30m-1.35m Jumpers, the 1.40m Grand Prix Series and Young Jumper, Children/Adult, Low Junior/Amateur and Masters Jumpers Classics. The series runs from 8 am – 4 pm, accommodating everyone’s show schedules. The 2015 prize list is available here, and there are still select sponsorships remaining for the series. 

The “Turf Tour” Grand Prix Series hosted by Olympian Nona Garson and her partner, George D’Ambrosio, has added an additional week to the 2015 schedule, now boasting 12 weeks of shows with prize money that has ballooned to just under $500,000.

The 1.30m-1.35m Jumpers will kick off the 12-week series beginning January 7, 2015, and the Friday Grand Prix is set to start January 9, 2015 with both taking place on the turf at Wolfstone Stables. The series will culminate in an exciting finale on March 27, 2015.

In addition to the fabulous Turf Tour, The Ridge at Wellington is bringing back their popular Equitation Tuesdays, a chance for riders to qualify for the equitation finals without the pressures of the big horse show, as well as the local Palm Beach Series schooling shows with classes for all levels of horses and riders who want to practice away from the pressure of larger shows.

The Wellington Turf Tour has been hailed as the highlight of the season with top riders, amateurs and juniors alike, choosing to ride in the invitational series, challenging their young horses to a new experience that complements the Winter Equestrian Festival. If you’re looking for a change of pace, the Wellington Turf Tour is the place to be!

The Ridge at Wellington will offer their wildly popular 1.40m Grand Prix series as well as an array of options for 1.30m-1.35m Jumpers, Young Jumpers, Children/Adult Classics, Low Junior/Amateur Classics and the Masters Jumpers division.

For the second year, the USHJA International and National Hunter Derbies will return on February 6 and March 20. Also in 2015, the Ridge at Wellington will host an exciting USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Classic during each of the hunter derby weeks.
