Tisbo and Roundthorn Madios posted the fastest four fault effort to finish in sixth place in the $25,000 Spy Coast Farm Grand Prix.  Tequestrian Farms of Wellington, FL, recently acquired Roundthorn Madios, a 2002 Irish Sport Horse gelding (Condios x Clover Hill) for Tisbo.  With former rider Andrew Bourns of Ireland, Roundthorn Madios represented Ireland in three Nations’ Cup competitions in 2012, including the $300,000 BMO Nations’ Cup at the CSIO5* Spruce Meadows “Masters” tournament where Ireland secured a second place finish.

“I watched Roundthorn Madios quite a bit over the past year, and he is a horse that really impressed me,” said Tisbo, 28.  “I am very thankful to the Bourns family for giving us this opportunity.  Andrew has done an incredible job developing the horse, and I look forward to building a successful partnership.”

Roundthorn Madios joins Tisbo’s string of top mounts including King Kolibri, La Centa, and Crème Brule.  In 2012, Tisbo rode King Kolibri to a fifth place finish in the $500,000 FTI Consulting Grand Prix at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, and placed fourth in the $200,000 ATCO Power Queen Elizabeth II Cup at the CSI5* Spruce Meadows “North American” tournament in July.  With her derby specialist Crème Brule, Tisbo was third in the $175,000 Nexen Cup Derby and placed fifth in the $140,000 Cenovus Energy Classic Derby, both at Spruce Meadows.

Based at Tequestrian Farms in Wellington, FL, Tisbo will compete throughout the 12-week FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival running January 9 through March 31, 2013, in Wellington, FL.
