The Lake Placid Horse Show Association is pleased to welcome Equine Insurance Services, jointly with Great American Insurance Group, as the new title sponsor for the 2013 Grand Prix of Lake Placid. The show is proud to welcome Randy Levesque and his Equine Insurance Services team on board.
The 2013 Lake Placid and I Love New York Horse Shows return to the Adirondack Mountain Village of Lake Placid, June 25–July 7. The shows are USEF ‘AA’ rated for Hunters and have a 6* rating for Jumpers and award over half a million dollars in prize money!

The first week’s Grand Prix will now be officially known as the $75,000 Equine Insurance Services/Great American Grand Prix of Lake Placid Presented by Sea Shore Stables. The Grand Prix, which will take place on Sunday, June 30, is one of two major Grand Prix events that take place during show jumping’s two-week stay in the Adirondacks. Both Grand Prix attract some of the best horses and riders in the nation. Some recent champions of the Grand Prix of Lake Placid include Darragh Kenny, Jonathan McCrea, Kent Farrington and Todd Minikus.

Aside from his busy career as the head of Equine Insurance Services, Levesque is also an active competitor in the show ring. Last year he rode his mount Lyla to the win in the Mirror Lake Inn WIHS Adult Jumper Classic [over 40]. He and Lyla were also Reserve Champions for the second week’s Adult Amateur Jumper over 40 division.
“Lake Placid is absolutely my favorite horse show in the United States,” said Levesque. “My wife and I had such a wonderful time in Lake Placid and I really cannot think of a better horse show with which to associate our company name and to give our support.”
