Junior Weekend Day Two

The second day of junior rider action at Devon today, May 23, included equitation, junior hunter, pony hunter and junior jumper classes. 

Jacqueline Lubrano kicked off the day—and celebrated her 17th birthday!—by claiming the R.W. Mutch Equitation Championship.  Lubrano was second in a section of the ASPCA Maclay, third in a section of the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search and won a section of the WIHS Equitation Classic.

The second day of junior rider action at Devon today, May 23, included equitation, junior hunter, pony hunter and junior jumper classes. 

Jacqueline Lubrano kicked off the day—and celebrated her 17th birthday!—by claiming the R.W. Mutch Equitation Championship.  Lubrano was second in a section of the ASPCA Maclay, third in a section of the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search and won a section of the WIHS Equitation Classic.

Chloe Reid dominated the first two classes of the small pony division, winning both aboard Hillcrest Silver Lining.  She was also third in the second class on Blue On Blue.

Lillie Keenan staked her claim on the medium pony division, winning both classes on Light Up The Year.  Victoria Colvin was second in both classes on Allure.

Keenan also rode Beau Rivage to first and second in the two large pony classes.  Gwen McMahon won the second class on Winston.  Keenan rebounded from falling off Vanity Fair in the first class to taking third aboard him in the second.

Reed Kessler graduated from the pony divisions and has begun winning on horses.  She rode Addison Phillips’ former mount, Flight, to win the junior jumper jump-off class today.

Amelia McArdle won the over fences class of the small junior hunter, 16-17 division abaord MVP, but Jennifer Waxman earned second place over fences and won the under saddle on her Zoom.  Jessica Springsteen piloted Sublime to a score of 92 to win the small junior hunter, 15 & under over fences class.  And Katherine Newman catch-rode Zach Parks’ bay Castleton to another score of 92 to win the large junior hunter, 15 & under over fences class.
