Wellington, FL (March 16, 2011) – Jodie Kelly’s Dressage Sport Horse Farm was pretty in pink during the Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge II CDI, and thanks to Kelly’s pink motif her farm took home the Classic Equine Stall and Tack Room Award. Sponsored by Classic Equine Equipment, a nationally recognized leader in quality horse stall systems and stable accessories, the Classic Equine Stall and Tack Room Award is awarded at a variety of dressage and WEF shows during the Florida winter show season.

Kelly, an FEI rider and trainer who trains out of Southern Cross Equestrian Centre in Destin, Florida, was thrilled that her farm, which featured beautiful pink flower boxes and pink stall guards, won the Classic Equine Stall and Tack Room Award. “I have been showing forever and my colors have always been pink and black,” Kelly said. “I was an eventer for a while and I kept the same colors. I went through a little phase where I thought I was too cool for pink, but not anymore. Everything we have is pink!”

Kelly, who had 12 horses and five students in Wellington for the show, said her beautifully carved sign was given to her by clients Glenn and Cindy Carpenter. “They gave me the sign for Christmas and we take it to all the horse shows with us,” she said.  The hanging signpost was the anchor of their decorative set up, complete with matching pink flowers and flower box.

Kelly is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist and a graduate of the USDF Advanced Young Rider program. She competed in the North American Young Riders Championships from 1998-2004 and in her first year of competition captured an individual Gold and brought home team Gold in three subsequent years. Her impressive background includes training with Toine and Ingrid Hoefs and Anky van Grunsven.
