Devon, Pa.—May 31
Professional hunter rider Jennifer Alfano fractured her left knee in a fall while competing at the Devon Horse Show. Alfano was riding Miss Lucy in the first high performance hunter class of the day when she got unseated a few strides after landing off one jump and fell. Miss Lucy was unharmed in the incident.
Alfano was transported to a local hospital and may have to undergo surgery to repair the damage.
