Greenhalgh’s Death Ruled A Homicide

The death of Sarah Libbey Greenhalgh, a journalist who contributed regularly to the Chronicle and worked for the Winchester Star, was ruled a homicide after a medical examiner discovered a gunshot wound to her neck during the autopsy.

Greenhalgh, 48, was found dead in her burning home near Upperville, Va., on July 9.

The sheriff’s department has not made any arrests or named any suspects, but, according to a report by the Washington Post, authorities have talked to people of interest and served several search warrants. They are still investigating forensic evidence found at Greenhalgh's home.
