Devon, PA – June 14, 2011 – The Brandywine Valley Summer Series horse shows presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) is pleased to announce that Wyndsor Farm of Elverson, Pennsylvania, is one of this year’s top sponsors. Wyndsor Farm is a premier full service training and competition facility located in scenic Chester County, led by trainer Kim Zindel-Buzby. The Brandywine Valley Summer Series will be held at the prestigious Devon Show Grounds, June 29-July 3, 2011, and July 6-10, 2011, with a local day of competition on Monday July 11, 2011. The event features a full array of hunter/jumper events for horses and riders.

Wyndsor Farm is a 50 acre facility that was built in 1994 by the Bentley family, and boasts 12X12 matted stalls, a 120X260 indoor arena with world class footing, heated wash stalls, an outdoor riding ring, lush turnout pastures and miles of wooded trails. The farm began as a humble boarding facility and through the years has developed into one of Chester County’s top hunter and jumper training barns. It is a competition-oriented show stable that is especially geared to the serious rider seeking improvement in show skills and horsemanship. The farm hosts many rated and non-rated horse shows throughout the year and travels the AA circuit from Palm Beach to Vermont.

Buzby and Farm Manager Jennifer Frank are thrilled to be sponsors of the first annual Brandywine Valley Summer Series. “We wanted to support Louise Serio and our local professionals,” noted Frank. “It is exciting to see the historic Devon Show Grounds host a rated series, giving local riders the chance to compete in the Dixon Oval.”

Frank added, “We are very excited that this event gives our clients the opportunity to show at Devon and compete in the USHJA National Hunter Derby under the lights in the Dixon Oval. Best of luck to all competitors!”

Each week, the competition will feature a $3,000 Johnson Horse Transportation USHJA National Hunter Derby held under the lights on Saturday. The hunter divisions at the Brandywine Valley Summer Series offer over $100,000 in prize money over the two weeks, and will range from the professional hunters to the pony hunters. Frank said, “Due to the constant evolution of the show hunter it is nice to have a show that emphasizes and spotlights these athletes.”

Another highlight event will be a $10,000 Mini Prix, held each week, for all jumper riders to showcase their talented mounts. The first week benefits the Chester County Food Bank, and the second week benefits Canine Partners for Life.

With over $49,000 in prize money over the two weeks, the jumper classes at the Brandywine Valley Summer Series presented by THIS will also feature highlight events for all levels, from Open Jumpers to Child/Adult Jumpers.
