Prepare for the impact of HISTORY’s Full Metal Jousting as the show makes its premiere this Sunday, February 12, 2012. The show features sixteen of the toughest warriors in the country, competing in a pulverizing battle. The all-new one-hour series will begin at 10 p.m. on HISTORY, and James H. Fairclough II, of Cavalier Show Jumping, will also make his jousting debut in its inaugural season.

Renowned jouster Shane Adams will be the host for Full Metal Jousting. The 10-part series features full-contact jousts with competitors going head-to-head on horseback in brutal tests of strength, endurance and courage. High-speed cameras capture every un-choreographed arduous blow as jousters charge and collide at 30 miles per hour. The last man standing takes home a $100,000 cash prize.

The Full Metal Jousting contestants lived and trained together, making the show not only a reality in the battlefield, but the house, too. “I can’t let any secrets out of the bag,” Fairclough explained. “I do have to say though that this show is something definitely worth watching. There is so much to it-intensity, action and of course everything that comes along with action packed television.”

Each candidate had to go through extensive training before continuing as a part of the cast for Full Metal Jousting. Backgrounds vary from an ex-Marine stunt man and a professional polo player to a bull rider. Fairclough’s show jumping experience is what made him a top contender, but the riders had to prove themselves worthy.

Event Producer Steve Williams will also be hosting the Wellington Premiere Party for Full Metal Jousting this Sunday, February 12, at Graffito South located at 3401 Equestrian Club Road. The party will commence at 9 p.m., and although the premiere is open to the public, space is limited making dinner reservations a strong suggestion to ensure admission. Fairclough will be in attendance, and after the episode, he will participate in a Question & Answer session about his participation on the show and the first episode.
