Reno, NV – May 25, 2011 – The Second Annual Franktown Meadows Hunter Derby is pleased to invite all of its participants to a VIP rider reception benefitting ALS of Nevada. The beautiful reception will be held on Sunday September 4, 2011 from 6:30p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the luxurious BuBinga Lounge in the host hotel, Eldorado Hotel Casino Reno. Riders, trainers, owners, and sponsors are all invited to attend this exciting event, where the order of go will be drawn for the hunter derby the following day. The $25,000 Franktown Meadows Hunter Derby scheduled for September 5, 2010, at the Franktown Meadows Equestrian Facility in Carson City, NV, and is the West Coast’s only standalone derby event.
The BuBinga Lounge is located in the Eldorado Hotel Casino Reno on the mezzanine level, and boasts state-of-the-art lights and sound, with cutting edge digital technology for premium sound for live music, and DJ sounds. The room is electrifying with a re-designed stage, surrounded by the dance floor, which is the center-focus with elite theatrical lighting. The sleek new hot spot features plush faux black crocodile and snake leather seating with lighted tabletops omitting pulsating bands of color throughout the room. The open design throughout the nightclub allows one to see the entire venue from almost every point in the room.

Offering a variety of wines for tasting during the rider reception will be Peter Paul Wines, a boutique winery producing a small quantity of high quality wines. They source California Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley as well as Cabernet from Napa Valley. Peter Paul Wines also makes a small amount of Oregon Pinot Noir. Their exquisite wine collection will be available to all of those in attendance during the rider reception.

Light appetizers will accompany the wine tasting, provided by the Eldorado, and there will be bartending staff on hand for whatever the guests may need. Riders in attendance will receive a Riders’ Gift Bag to take home with them. The Riders’ Gift Bag will include items donated by generous sponsors. There will also be a live auction with a large selection of items for attendees to bid on. The auction will support the ALS of Nevada.

EVENT: The Franktown Meadows Hunter Derby is the only standalone hunter derby on the west coast. The Derby will be a member event of the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) International Hunter Derby Series. This charitable event benefits ALS Nevada, a non-profit organization that aids those affected by ALS in Nevada.
