Hilda Donahue’s Extravagance was euthanized today, Sept. 25, after sustaining a serious injury on cross-country in the Poplar Place CIC*** (Ga.) according to Eventing Nation.
The 14-year-old Australian Thoroughbred apparently got hung up on a fence in the main water complex and fractured a leg. He was euthanized shortly thereafter. Donahue suffered no serious injuries.

Donahue had ridden Extravagance at the intermediate and advanced level since February of 2009. The pair completed the Jersey Fresh CCI*** this spring in 19th place.
