Equestrian Moms in California Needed! UC Davis Research Survey

Davis, CA: Jacqueline Barkoski, a doctoral student at UC Davis is conducting a survey to understand family health among women who own, care for, or work with horses. Barkoski will be surveying up to 6,000 women in California with the use of Study of Product Use for Relatives and their Family Health (SPUR: Family Health) online survey tool. The horse industry is a $4.1 billion dollar business in California. There are roughly 50,000 horse owners in the State and the majority of them are women.

Davis, CA: Jacqueline Barkoski, a doctoral student at UC Davis is conducting a survey to understand family health among women who own, care for, or work with horses. Barkoski will be surveying up to 6,000 women in California with the use of Study of Product Use for Relatives and their Family Health (SPUR: Family Health) online survey tool. The horse industry is a $4.1 billion dollar business in California. There are roughly 50,000 horse owners in the State and the majority of them are women. She is distributing the SPUR survey to equestrian moms in California through online advertisements and horse club listservs. Participants will be asked to provide information about products they have used on or around horses, their health and their children’s health.
