Wellington, Florida – For the second year in a row, Emanuel Andrade of Venezuela was named the Overall Jumper Rider, Andrea King was named the Overall Jumper Trainer, and Hollow Creek Farm was named the Overall Jumper Owner at the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF) in Wellington, Florida.

The 12-week winter show jumping circuit, widely considered to be the best in the world, ran from January 8 through March 30, 2014.  At the final Parade of Champions honoring the top performers of the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival, Emanuel Andrade was presented as the Draper Therapies Overall Jumper Rider, Andrea King of Aiken, SC, was named the Draper Therapies Overall Jumper Trainer, and Hollow Creek Farm of Aiken, SC, was named the Draper Therapies Overall Jumper Owner.

In addition, Andrade claimed the Hollow Creek Farm Medium Junior Jumper Circuit Award with Black Pearl.

At only 17 years of age, Andrade beat out literally thousands of professional riders for the title of Overall Jumper Rider.  The student from Caracas, Venezuela, who has been training with Hollow Creek Farm for the past three years, had a landmark season at 2014 FTI WEF.  Over the course of 12 weeks, he won 36 jumper classes and was awarded 12 championship and 13 reserve championship titles in the High, Medium and Low Junior Jumper divisions.

“We are very excited!” said King of repeating last year’s success.  “Emanuel has been absolutely fantastic!  He makes my job easy.”

King continued, “We have a great team, and I can’t thank everyone enough for all of their hard work and dedication.  From the grooms to the vets to our blacksmith, everyone has done a super job.  Of course, Mr. Andrade has been a huge help to us all, and has been so supportive of Emanuel and what we are trying to accomplish.  It has been so nice to have everyone working together this season.  Everything has been fantastic!”

In addition to his phenomenal success in the junior jumper divisions, Andrade regularly competed at the grand prix level throughout the 2014 FTI WEF circuit.  During CSI3* WEF Week VI, Andrade and ZZ Top v/h Schaarbroek Z, a 13-year-old Zangersheide gelding (Zandor Z x Latus I) owned by Hollow Creek Farm, placed fourth in the $34,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Round VI and fifth in the $84,000 CSI3* Salamander Hotel & Resorts Grand Prix.  The same week, Andrade won the $6,000 1.40m Spy Coast Farm competition riding Reve du Paradis, a nine-year-old selle francais gelding (Crown Z x Adelfos) owned by Hollow Creek Farm.

During CSIO4* WEF Week VIII, Andrade represented his home country of Venezuela riding as a member of the team for the Hollow Creek Farm FEI Junior Nations’ Cup.  Partnered with AD Vangleys, Hollow Creek Farm’s nine-year-old Belgian Sport Horse (Rock du Val Tibermont x Ksar-Sitte), Andrade put in a clear performance to help Venezuela finish fourth overall.

Hollow Creek Farm is a strong supporter of the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival, and is committed to helping it become the premier winter show jumping destination in the world.  In addition to sponsoring the FEI Children, Junior and Young Rider Nations’ Cups for the second consecutive year, Hollow Creek Farm was the title sponsor of the Medium Junior Jumper division throughout the entire 12-week circuit.

Fellow Hollow Creek rider Angel Karolyi, 27, also enjoyed a successful winter season, posting four top five finishes in grand prix competition at HITS Ocala, FL, including a fifth place finish in the $100,000 Sullivan GMC Truck Grand Prix riding Amigo, a 10-year-old bay Zangersheide gelding (Coriano Z x Silvester).  At the CSI2*-W Live Oak show jumping tournament held March 20-23 in Ocala, FL, Karolyi was third in the $50,000 World Cup Grand Prix and sixth in the $33,000 Hollow Creek Farm Winning Round riding Indiana 127, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Indoctro x Voltaire).  Both horses are owned by Hollow Creek Farm.

With the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival now complete, ‘Team Hollow Creek’ will head to Miami, FL, for the American Invitational on Saturday night, April 5.  Held at Sun Life Stadium, Karolyi will contest the $200,000 American Invitational, presented by G & C Farm, while Andrade will compete in the inaugural $25,000 Junior Amateur Classic, presented by Hollow Creek Farm.
