Temecula, Calif., March 27, 2014 — Two top-quality saddle makers—CWD and Devoucoux—have signed five-year sponsorship agreements with the Galway Downs International Events and the Woodside International Horse Trials. CWD and Devoucoux will be presenting sponsors at the three international events held at these two locations each year

“Their five-year sponsorship agreement has provided us with an incredible commitment that assists us in advancing the quality of the sport through our events at Galway and Woodside,” said Robert Kellerhouse, the organizer at Galway Downs and Woodside.  “The historic term of this deal is indicative of the confidence they have in their vision of advancing their own goals through our events.”

Galway Downs offers an international horse trials at the CIC3*, CIC2* and CIC1* levels in March and the international three-day event at the CCI3*, CCI2* and CCI1* levels in November. Woodside offers an international horse trials at the CIC3*, CIC2* and CIC1* levels in October. CWD and Devoucoux will also be presenting sponsors at the Woodside Horse Trials in May, where the Preliminary Challenge is the featured division.

CWD (www.cwdsellier.com) and Devoucoux (www.us.devoucoux.com), now both owned by the same fine leather goods company in France, have been sponsors of Galway Downs for many years. In fact, David Attal of Devoucoux recalled that their association with Galway Downs began shortly after the event’s founding in 1999.

“We felt like it was time to strengthen our long partnership even more over a long period of time,” said Attal. “Both events are growing and evolving really well, and we felt that they are a perfect match with the innovation and the value of our saddles. “

Betrand Pelletier of CWD also believes that CWD and the Galway Downs and Woodside events have much in common.

“Robert and his staff are as passionate about their events as we are about our saddles,” he said. “We are very innovative in the design and production of our saddles, and they are the same with their events. So we believe that it makes sense for our growing brand to be associated with these growing events.”

Added Kellerhouse, “Our goal is always to continue to improve upon what we offer to our competitors, the horse owners, our sponsors and our spectators.  The support from CWD, Devoucoux and all of our sponsors is incredibly important to move our events forward. I am grateful for their support.”
