The Chronicle Wins 17 AHP Awards

The Chronicle of the Horse earned first place in the Equine-Related Website category at the 2011 American Horse Publications seminar, held June 16-18 in San Diego, Calif., as well as 16 other awards.

The Chronicle launched the redesigned www.chronofhorse.com in November of 2009. In their critique, the judges described the website as “very impressive” and complimented the site’s rich content and excellent navigation.

The Chronicle of the Horse print edition earned an honorable mention in its General Excellence category.

Sixty-nine AHP members were named as finalists for material published and dated in 2010. The contest drew entries from 118 members, with a record-breaking 839 total entries. A group of 23 professional judges evaluated the entries.

Since its inception in 1974, the AHP Awards Program has recognized excellence in editorial content and graphic design.
