Wellington, FL (February 14, 2011) – Hilltop Farm, a world-recognized sport horse breeding and training center in Maryland, brought their beauty and elegance to the Wellington Classic Dressage Spring Challenge CDI, and thanks to their stabling set-up at the show took home the Classic Equine Stall and Tack Room Award. Sponsored by Classic Equine Equipment, a nationally recognized leader in quality horse stall systems and stable accessories, the Classic Equine Stall and Tack Room Award is awarded at a variety of dressage and WEF shows during the Florida winter show season.

Hilltop’s head trainer, Christopher Hickey, was pleased that the farm won the Classic Equine Stall and Tack Room Award. “We like our stabling area to be practical, simple and elegant,” Hickey said. “We have a simple setup that works at many shows with our door panels and curtains. Because we are a stallion station, we also always have a covered table in our stabling area with stallion brochures and DVD’s and information on sale horses.”

Hickey added that Hilltop’s owner, Jane MacElree, loves the simple yet elegant look of Hilltop’s stabling area while on the road. “Jane is an amazing person and has been supporting the dressage world for many years,” he said, adding that he and Jane are both excited about a new horse. “We have a new competition horse named Witness, a chestnut with a lot of chrome, and he has a lot of class. He is replacing Cabana Boy, that we lost last year, and I think he is going to be a super young horse for me.”

Hickey added that MacElree wanted him to have a horse to do the small tour on, and that she enjoys the process of watching a horse progress through the ranks. “Jane is a horsewoman and she is always happy with her horses and willing to let them progress at their speed,” he said. “I know we will both enjoy the process as Witness develops.”
