Callan Solem Show Stables will be traveling to Wellington, FL, to compete at the prestigious Winter Equestrian Festival. After a successful campaign during the 2010 summer and fall seasons, including Solem’s VDL Torlando laying down an incredible performance during the Pfizer $1 Million Grand Prix, Solem and her clients are looking forward to WEF.

Solem, who was named leading Grand Prix Rider at the 2010 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit, is currently prepping her mounts for the 2011 WEF Florida circuit,  “I am so excited about going to Wellington for the first time,” notes the equestrian. “Right now I am focused on developing an individualized schedule for each horse that will allow him or her to be successful.”

She added, “We have a great facility near the showgrounds, with a brand new, state of the art, Bart Poels ring, so the horses will have the best possible footing for schooling.  There is also good turn-out and permanent stabling with stalls for 20-horses. All of it is so important, because, if you take good care of your horse and keep him in good condition to have good results, then everything works out from there. It’s the same with all the horses in the program; proper planning, preparation and care in training helps make sure the horses are ready to do their best!”

In addition to her primary horses VDL Torlando and Magic Cruise, Solem will be showing three new young horses, Bianca Van Het Scheefkasteel, Wizard VDL and Bronziet. She will begin the winter by exhibiting just the young horses in the Open Jumper 1.40m division, as well as the Young Jumper classes, while VDL Torlando and Magic Cruise enjoy some much deserved time-off.  In the hunter ring, Solem will be showing Berlusconi, a young son of Balou du Rouet. Solem plans to campaign VDL Torlando and Magic Cruise beginning in February with the goal of having them prepared to compete in a leg of the Meydan FEI Nations Cup Tour.

While Callan Solem is competing full time in Wellington, trainer Martha Redman heads the Chester Springs, PA operation training students all winter and showing at local shows in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Callan Solem Show Stables is a hunter/jumper/equitation operation based in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, headed by international grand prix rider Callan Solem For more information about Callan Solem and Callan Solem Show Stables, please call 610-827-9003 or visit www.callansolem.com/
