Brandywine Valley Summer Series Presented By THIS Includes Exciting Local Day Lineup

Devon, PA - February 17, 2011 -This year's first annual Brandywine Valley Summer Series horse shows presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) is pleased to announce that it will be offering an exciting line up for its Local Day on Monday, July 11, 2011. Held at the prestigious Devon Show Grounds, the Brandywine Valley Summer Series presented by THIS will be a summer highlight when it is held June 29-July 3, 2011 and July 6-10, 2011, followed by the local day of competition on Monday July 11, 2011.

Devon, PA – February 17, 2011 -This year’s first annual Brandywine Valley Summer Series horse shows presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) is pleased to announce that it will be offering an exciting line up for its Local Day on Monday, July 11, 2011. Held at the prestigious Devon Show Grounds, the Brandywine Valley Summer Series presented by THIS will be a summer highlight when it is held June 29-July 3, 2011 and July 6-10, 2011, followed by the local day of competition on Monday July 11, 2011.
 
The hunter divisions for Local Day will range from Short Stirrup to Adult Hunters to Open Hunters and will be judged by Michelle Morosky-Patience and Joyce Przebowski. Riders will be awarded trophies as well as Championship and Reserve Championship honors for their top efforts in the divisions.
 
In addition to Local Day, Brandywine Valley Summer Series will also feature the Canine Partners for Life $10,000 Mini Prix during Week I and the Chester County Food Bank $10,000 Mini Prix during Week II for all jumper riders to showcase their talented mounts each week. The jumper classes at the Brandywine Valley Summer Series presented by THIS will also feature highlight events for all levels. There will an Open Jumper Level 5 division and an Open Jumper Level 7 class each week. Other jumper divisions will include the High Junior/Amateur Owners, Low Junior/Amateur Owners, and Children’s/Adults.
 
In addition to the jumper divisions, each week the competition will feature a National Hunter Derby open to all riders. This two-round competition will be one of many highlights held at this first annual series during the week.

The hunter ring will feature a variety of divisions including the Green Hunters, Open Hunters, Amateur-Owner Hunters, Junior Hunters, Adult Amateur Hunters, Children’s Hunter, and Pony Hunters. The hunter divisions will also have Classic event each week where riders will showcase their talented mounts. These events will be NAL, M&S, and WIHS affiliated. The judges for the first week of competition will be Linda Hough, Jack Towell, and Scott Williamson. During the second week, horses and rider showcase their talent in front of judges Mark Jungherr, Steve Wall, and Russel Frey.

In the equitation ring, riders will have the opportunity to try and qualify for the four major equitation finals held each fall. The Brandywine Valley Summer Series presented by THIS will include an ASPCA Maclay class, a USEF Medal class, a Platinum Performance USEF Show Jumping Talent Search class, and the WIHS Equitation class.
