Bond To Substitute For Hough At Spruce Meadows Masters Tournament

The U.S. Equestrian Federation announced Ashlee Bond will replace Lauren Hough at the Nations Cup competition at the Spruce Meadows Masters Tournament held in Calgary, Alberta, on Sept. 9.

With George Morris as chef d’equipe, the United States will be represented by four riders, each who have been entered on either one or two horses.

With George Morris as chef d’equipe, the United States will be represented by four riders, each who have been entered on either one or two horses.

  • Ashlee Bond, 27, Hidden Hills, Calif., is entered on Little Valley Farms’ Cadett 7, a 15-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Cordelabryere—GinellaI, Capitol I).
  • Brianne Goutal, 23, New York, N.Y., is entered on Remarkable Farms’ Nice De Prissey, an 11-year-old Selle Français stallion (Rosire—Trophee De Prissey, Amarpour), and Cloverleaf Farm’s Ralvesther, a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare (Calvaro—Esther, Zevenster).
  • Leslie Howard, 55, Darien, Conn., is entered on her own and Peter Howard’s Lennox Lewis 2, a 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Laureatus—Ronja, Weizenkorn), and The Utah Group’s Utah, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Andiamo—Petit Pommes D, Jus De Pomme).
  • Reed Kessler, 18, Lexington, Ky., is entered on her own Cylana, a 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare (Skippy II—Verona Van De Ruiterhoeve, Darco), and Ligist, a 12-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding (Levantos II 939—Chamena, Robin Z 723).
