Back In Action But Still Missing Cooper

This winter has been an interesting one, and with a little break and some rest we are now back in full force and in Aiken again!

I have been a bit emotional this week, because I am having a hard time thinking about being in Aiken without Cooper. The final realization of what has happened is now settling in, and it's weird not to see him in the field that he was in last year. But I keep on keeping on!

This winter has been an interesting one, and with a little break and some rest we are now back in full force and in Aiken again!

I have been a bit emotional this week, because I am having a hard time thinking about being in Aiken without Cooper. The final realization of what has happened is now settling in, and it’s weird not to see him in the field that he was in last year. But I keep on keeping on!

On a brighter note, two amazing horses got sold for Beth Battel and have moved on to fantastic homes. Diligence was bought by Stephanie Cauffman, who works for Missy Ransehousen. He just finished his first event with his new rider on a 28! Pretty impressive I would have to say! Also Jet’Amore, who was a lovely 5-year-old, has gone on to a new home with his owner Sheila Wiese, and I expect big things from this horse in the future.

Walkabout was also purchased last month, and he is a really flashy off-the-track Thoroughbred who came to Phillip to get sold.

After Phillip rode him in an event, he recommended that I have a try, and I got along quite well with him. He was purchased by B & O Sport Horses, and I am looking forward to having this talented horse to compete and train. He is full of action and life, and with some schooling I think he will have quite the future.

I was lucky enough to take a week break in the beginning of January, and it was nice to escape for a little bit. I feel refreshed and ready for action now!! I am including some pics from that, and some from this winter…quite the adventure.

Hope everyone is back in the saddle or at least getting ready to be!
