All 40 Horses Pass First Inspection At Great Meadow International CICO***

All 40 horses presented at the first horse inspection at the Land Rover Great Meadow CICO*** passed this afternoon and will move on to dressage and show jumping tomorrow.

There was a lot of excitement in the air as the first Nations Cup competition outside Europe got underway on a hot and sunny afternoon. Teams from the U.S., Canada and Great Britain will be vying for the win, while the U.S. Olympic team riders and alternates will be hoping for a good final preparation before the Games in Rio De Janiero in less than 30 days.

There was a lot of excitement in the air as the first Nations Cup competition outside Europe got underway on a hot and sunny afternoon. Teams from the U.S., Canada and Great Britain will be vying for the win, while the U.S. Olympic team riders and alternates will be hoping for a good final preparation before the Games in Rio De Janiero in less than 30 days.

Lots of changes greeted riders and spectators, with a brand new all-weather arena, several new cross-country jumps over Mike Etherington-Smith’s track and an extensive vendor village.

Dressage will get underway tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., and show jumping will take place at 5 p.m.
