4-H Judge Ray Hackett joins North Road Farm as Horse Behaviorist and Instructor

Fremont, NH – March 14, 2016.  Jan Brubacher owner. North Road Farm (NRF) is pleased to announce Ray Hackett has accepted the full time position of riding instructor and horse behaviorist trainer.  NRF is a riding school for beginner youth to adult students including recreational, therapeutic and competitive horsemanship.  NRF is home to the Peppermint Ponies 4-H Club.

Fremont, NH – March 14, 2016.  Jan Brubacher owner. North Road Farm (NRF) is pleased to announce Ray Hackett has accepted the full time position of riding instructor and horse behaviorist trainer.  NRF is a riding school for beginner youth to adult students including recreational, therapeutic and competitive horsemanship.  NRF is home to the Peppermint Ponies 4-H Club.

Ray is already busy with enthusiastic students and caring for the 8 horses and ponies that are the school mounts.  Ray says: “I have a special spot in my heart for the little ones, especially the 4-H cloverbud kids as wee as 5 years old.”  His natural, intuitive approach and patient nature is refreshing and insightful to both people and animals.

Ray is a popular A rated New England 4-H and Open horse show judge with 38 years of experience including many local, county, state shows and Eastern States competition in 2014.  Ray is also holds a MA licensed Riding Instructor certification for over 20 years.

People are fascinated with horses.  We have so many children, adults, special needs people who genuinely want to safely learn how to interact.  They want to know how to care, handle and ride them.  Ray is a well-rounded expert. Ray Hackett was a member of the Salem Silver Spurs 4-H club and the Atkinson Chaps and Breeches 4-H Club. Ray earned numerous year-end awards and achievements with his first horse, Cheyenne.  Ray later started his own thriving 4-H club, the Plaistow Snappy Striders and ran horse shows to benefit Therapeutic Riding.

Ray has won numerous A rated multi-discipline championships including NH Horse and Trail Assoc., Seacoast Horseman’s Assoc., New England Pinto Horse Assoc., and New England Tennessee Walking Horse Assoc.

With his vast years of experience, Ray developed New World Riding horsemanship to provide safe, proactive foundation work for beginners through advanced riders. Ray believes students all have “special” needs and that working with horses helps us heal emotionally and physically, develop important friendships and find joy and peace.
